We understand how stressful and heartbreaking it can be to lose a beloved pet, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our mission is to help reunite lost animals/pets with their families using advanced thermal drone technology — and we want to be clear about what our service can and cannot do.
While we approach every search with dedication and expertise, we cannot guarantee that your animal/pet will be found. Each situation is unique, and many factors can affect the outcome.
Our thermal drones are designed to detect heat signatures. However due to foliage density, heat signatures can be obscured and they cannot see through buildings, houses, or solid structures. If your animal/pet has been brought indoors, is hiding under a structure or in dense foliage, the drone may not be able to detect them.
Searching for lost animals/pets is a complex process, but having an aerial perspective greatly increases efficiency and improves the chances of success.
By hiring us, you are engaging professional search assistance, specialized technology, and experienced operators — not a guaranteed result.
Once your animal/pet is located, it will be the owners/or responsible party’s, responsibility to physically retrieve them. We will provide their location details and guide you through the recovery process.

Pricing
Dog recoveries inital flight and recovery are provided on a pay-what-you-can basis; additional flights may accrue a fee. Based on location, there may be applicable mileage fees.
Merritt Drone Solutions accepts donations to ensure that this service can continue to be provided with no set charge. Donations can be made HERE
General Animal Recovery
$300 initial flight fee - up to 1.5 hours of flight search
$50 each additional 30 minutes that exceeds the initial 1.5 hours
$100 recovery fee if the animal is successfully located via drone
There may be additional mileage fees depending on location of services requested.
Additional fees will be disclosed and agreed upon prior to agreeing to service.
**Please note that we do not provide recovery services to aid in hunting.***
Prior to Accpeting Any Pet/Animal Receovery A request form must be compelted.
Success Stories
Apollo
On the night of Christmas Day, we were linked with the owners of Apollo, a 5-month-old puppy, who ran off early in the morning from their home. After all day of searching in the woods surrounding their house, they began losing hope.
When we came out to begin searching, we were able to quickly locate Apollo bedded down next to a creek. We were able to lead Apollo's father to him, but Dad was unable to cross the creek. After about 10 minutes of coaxing, Apollo's dad began trying to find a way across the creek to get to Apollo, but Apollo did not want his dad walking away, so he jumped in the creek and swam to him.
With Apollo reunited with Dad, Apollo was brought home to a very happy family!!!
